Hokkaido is a wonderful place, full of picturesque spots, great food and some very nice people. My favorite city in all of Japan is located here, Hakodate, which offers perhaps, the most incredible nightview in all the world, a city splitting two large bodies of water, the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Japan; as well as the clearest lake in the world, Mashuko; incredible ocean-front real estate; incredible mountains, rivers, and waterfalls; a variety of wildlife; and more. Unfortunately I went there before digital cameras became the norm and since I haven't yet scanned all the many fotos, the collection is incomplete at the moment.
